Referendum, Cerno reveals the background to Tg4: "Here's how the PD set a trap for Schlein"

Boomerang referendum for the Italian left: this is the interpretation given by Tommaso Cerno, director of Il Tempo, during Tg4 on June 11. According to Cerno, the failure to reach the quorum represents not only a political failure for Elly Schlein and the Democratic Party, but also a real internal trap. “The referendum has never existed,” Cerno declared. “Schlein should be grateful that there are so few Italians on the left that they did not even come close to reaching the quorum. If they had gone to vote at 50%, they would have lost the main referendum with which they are flooding Italy with illegal immigrants and creating this climate that we see every day.”
